Lou Holtz

Lou Holtz is a retired American football coach, best known for making a career of inspiring his players and motivating them to become winners. In 1969, he took his first head-coaching position and has since established himself as one of the most successful college football coaches of all time, with a resume including The College of William & Mary, North Carolina State University and the University of Notre Dame to name a few. Among his many accomplishments, Holtz is currently the only college football coach to lead six different programs to bowl games and guide four different programs to the final top 20 rankings. Holtz is the author of five books, including his recently released autobiography, Wins, Losses, and Lessons. Holtz and his wife Beth are parents to four grown children.
