Hendey to Tour Holy Land

Ave Maria Press author Lisa Hendey departed Wednesday, January 25, for an eight-day tour of Israel with the Catholic Press Association. Stops on the itinerary include the Dead Sea, Qumran, Jerusalem, the Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Western Wall, and much, much more.

Lisa M. Hendey is the founder and editor of CatholicMom.com and the bestselling author of The Handbook for Catholic MomsA Book of Saints for Catholic Moms, The Grace of Yes, and The Chime Travelers children’s fiction series. She serves at editor-at-large at Ave Maria Press. She has spoken at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, Catholic Marketing Network, the University of Dallas Ministry Conference, National Catholic Youth Conference, the Midwest Family Conference, and the National Council of Catholic Women. In 2013, she was selected as an Egan Journalism Fellow and traveled with Catholic Relief Services in Rwanda to write about the aftereffects of the Rwandan genocide on the eve of its twentieth anniversary. In early 2016, Hendey went to Columbia to see the work of CRS there. She lives with her family in Fresno, California.
