She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and English from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and graduated from the lay leadership program from the Institute for Pastoral Studies at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois. Along with Debra Kelsey-Davis, Johnson appeared on EWTN's At Home with Jim and Joy and created and hosted a twelve-episode series for caregivers that was broadcast on Shalom World TV.
