PrayND Hosts 30-Day Online Retreat with Basil Moreau

As part of its Lenten offerings, PrayND, a division of the University of Notre Dame Alumni Association, is hosting a 30-Day online retreat that focuses on the spirituality of Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. This retreat is based on the Ave Maria Press title Praying from the Heart of Holy Cross Spirituality by Joel Giallanza, CSC. The retreat is also available here on the University of Portland's campus ministry website. For Moreau, the spiritual life—indeed all of life—was meant to be “gravitation toward God,” propelled by “a fervent and continuous desire” to be one with God. This 30-Day Retreat with Basil Moreau is intended to nurture the spirit of prayerfulness—that spirit through which our attentiveness to God becomes second nature. Retreatants are invited to embrace this experience as a complement to their usual, personal discipline of daily prayers and spiritual practices.
