F. X. Durrwell, CSsR

François-Xavier Durrwell, CSsR (1912–2005), was a French Catholic priest, theologian, and author whose work contributed significantly to twentieth-century Christology and theological reflection surrounding the Second Vatican Council. 

Ordained a Redemptorist priest in 1936, he earned a licentiate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1940 and later taught in Luxembourg, France, and Belgium. He wrote several books on the Paschal Mystery, the Trinity, and the Eucharist, including In the Redeeming Christ and The Resurrection: A Biblical Study. 

Durrwell died in Alsace, France, in 2005.
