
Mark Toups
Fr. Mark Toups is the pastor of Our Lady of the Isle in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana, where he has served as a priest for twenty-four years. He is the cofounder of the Ministry for Priestly Support, through which he works with priests in spiritual direction and mentoring. He has extensive experience accompanying priests and seminarians, particularly in spiritual and human formation, contemplative leadership, and mentoring.
Toups has held several key diocesan leadership roles, including ten years as vicar general and chancellor of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. He has also directed and taught the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola for many years.
Toups earned a master of divinity degree from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. He is the author of numerous Catholic books and resources, including Oremus: A Guide to Catholic Prayer.
He lives in Grand Isle, Louisiana.
