Fr. Martin Pable (1931–2020) was a Capuchin friar who helped develop the Church’s understanding of masculine spirituality through a career of writing, giving retreats, and lecturing. He earned a doctorate degree in counseling psychology from the Catholic University of America and taught pastoral psychology and counseling. He served as a counselor, a spiritual director, and director of the wellness program for his Capuchin province.
