Cultural Experiences in Mass

Fr. Ajani Gibson discusses how culture can permeate the liturgy in beautiful ways. He says that when we make space for cultural expression in the Mass, we elevate our worship, and the body of Christ becomes more united.

Fr. Ajani Gibson is a priest of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and the parochial vicar of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, his home parish. He serves in several advisory roles for initiatives of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop, including the national Eucharistic Renewal and Journeying Together.
